Vietnam: Days 9-12

April 11, 2019

These last couple days were, again, pretty chill. Uncle Phuc and most of the rest of the family had work to attend to, so much of the time was just us hanging out at the house.

We did take a trip to one of my grandma's sister's house, where we stayed the night. This was actually the house that my dad was born in, when my grandma's sister would take care of him as a toddler. It's a nice house, built next to a Catholic church, where my grandma says she wants her ashes saved when it comes her time.

They then took me to the market down the road to pick up some food for dinner; this was the real, legit street market where people yell at you to buy their food (mostly live animals, fruit, and fresh seafood). It actually made me really uncomfortable, to have people stare at you, or even worse, yell at you in a foreign language when you're really just there following a local around like a sheep. Didn't really get inspired for many pictures unfortunately.

After heading back to my uncle's place where we usually stayed, he took me to a different church during the night-time, letting me practice some night shooting.

I also had my first go at astrophotography; like an idiot, I didn't mark where in the sky I actually took the shot, so unless I figure it out soon, it's just be a random part of the sky.

The next day, we visited another resort just outside of Cam Ranh for some nice pictures.

Just a few more days left here in Vietnam. The plan is to spend a day in Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City for a day before flying out back to America. Hopefully I can crank out some grand photos by then.
