Today was my first visit to Salt Lake's Pride Festival. We missed the parade, but the festival was a good chance for me to see just how weird everyone can get when given the opportunity to express themselves as authentically as possible.
Unfortunately, I still don't have an eye for shooting spontaneously in large crowds (maybe a telephoto would have been best rather than my 35mm), so my set of pictures were hardly impressive by my standards.

I still gotta learn to be comfortable in public crowds, because street portraits can be some of the most powerful images that can capture the atmosphere of the day or even of an era. I guess for now, my forte remains in landscapes and wildlife, but there's always next year and more festivals to get practice with.
