This Independence Day, my friend and I spent some of the morning and afternoon at Sugarhouse, warming up to take some pictures later tonight at another friend's house to launch some fireworks.
After going over the shots I took after the night, I realized that better photos could've been had if we were shooting these fireworks in a more open area. Using long exposures as the fireworks went off in the sky would have led to more rewarding photos, as I learned from the SLC Photography group on Facebook, in which everyone shared amazing photos using this technique.
Next year, I'll have a better idea of the kind of photos I wanna take, and I'll be able to plan out exactly how I'll achieve them.
