After waking up fairly early to eat some bánh xèo (Vietnamese pancakes, /ban-zeo/), Phuc and some other relatives took me up the Vietnam coastline towards Nha Trang. It's the first time we actually went up the slopes of the nearest mountains, looking over the South China Sea.

The first stop for pictures was a Vietnamese memorial near an art museum, atop a set of tall stairs.
The next stop was Mia Resort Nha Trang, a bit further up the road with beautiful views and open air seating areas.
Even further up the road a bit was a rest area with a bit of beach access.
Finally, on the way back to Cam Ranh, we stopped to see some fishing boats.
We got back home in time for lunch, and it was probably the best ride so far since I've been here. I went with Phuc later tonight to pick up some groceries. I should've brought my camera for it, but I witnessed a lady gut a cooked duck (vịt, /vit/), and chop it into various cuts, putting the guts and blood into their own little bag. Can't wait to see how that turns out.
I also can't wait to see more of the country later on, especially when we actually hit Nha Trang for some souvenir shopping.
